Connect North Link Worker
The main purpose of this role is to deliver health and wellbeing programmes as part of the trust health and wellbeing service. The post holder will work within a team to deliver individual and group-based interventions to support the needs of service users, families/ carers and staff, ensuring a high quality of service.
Bank Day Care Workers, Multiple locations (as and when required)

Day Centres:
- Ballyclare (Mon – Wed 9am-5pm)
- Lisburn (Laurelhill) –(Mon to Fri 9am – 5pm)
- Belfast (Skainos) (Mon to Fri 9.30am – 4.30pm)
- Castlewellan (Mon, Wed & Fri)
- Portaferry (Mon, Wed & Fri 9am – 4.30pm)
- Ballynahinch (Grove House) (Mon to Fri 9am – 5pm)
- Dungannon (Mon, Tue & Fri 9am – 4pm)
- Dunmurry (Anna House) (Mon to Fri 9am – 5pm)
The successful applicant will assist in the provision of a range of activities for older people.
The main responsibilities of the role are:
- To assist the Registered Manager in the day to day running of the centre including cleaning duties
- To assist with the personal care requirements of clients
- To participate in the implementation of activities of those attending the centre
- Any other duties deemed appropriate to this post.
Applicants must have the following:
- Experience of working with older people in a paid or voluntary capacity
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards achieving this qualification
- The successful applicant must register with NISCC (without exceptions) and will be subject to an enhanced Access NI check [Please read Access NI Code of Practice]
- Ability to use initiative
- Excellent interpersonal skills

- Salary Scale: £11.44 per hour
- Hours: flexible on an as and when required basis

Shared Lives is based around carers sharing their home, family and community life with an older person who needs support. It helps older people to stay as independent as they can, for as long as possible.
