Financial wellbeing

The financial wellbeing workshop supports businesses in improving the financial wellbeing of employees who are planning for retirement, providing essential tips and strategies to ensure a secure financial future.

As employees approach retirement, they may experience a range of emotions related to their financial wellbeing. Anxiety around pensions, sadness about leaving work, excitement about retiring or starting a new job. This two-hour workshop is an opportunity to consider their financial future and start thinking about planning for later life.

Topics include:

  • Pensions
  • Budgeting
  • Estate planning
  • Legal issues

By attending this workshop, employees will:

  • Gain an understanding of pensions and how to maximise benefits.
  • Learn effective budgeting techniques to manage finances better.
  • Get insights into personal finance management to secure a financial future.
  • Understand the importance of estate planning and how to protect assets.
  • Be informed about legal issues that may affect retirement plans.

Our workshop provides independent and impartial information to help employees address their financial concerns, build confidence, and gain valuable insights towards a financially secure future.

"The feedback is like no other I have seen. 450 staff have undergone the training in the last year; we started this year with 200 more interested in taking part and we still have 200 on the waiting list. We’re not advertising the course; this is just spreading by word-of-mouth. The feedback is fantastic from people I wouldn’t normally hear from, and very senior civil servants want more of these programmes. It is an untapped resource. The 450 completed has just scratched the surface."

Andrew Loughran | Learning and Development, NI Civil Service

Sessions are £50 per person, with an optimal workshop size of 10 participants.
